About

I was born and raised in Bend, Oregon and stayed in-state to attend the U of O in Eugene. Here I took up majors in Spanish and public relations accompanied by a minor in sustainable business. In my free time, I try to get outdoors as much as possible. Some of my interests in this area are skiing, hiking, running, scuba diving, and disc golf. I have found that my home state caters well to each of these.

I also have a knack for documenting and exploring culture. In 2023 I took up a position as a music blog writer for KWVA. Here I produced bi-weekly articles by combining artist interviews and concert photography for bands like Eugene-based, Spunj, who now regularly tours the US. Inspired by the forces surrounding me, I am currently learning both guitar and mandolin.

Now as a senior in college, the pursuit of my professional skills has always been at the forefront of the last four years; however, I have also found ways to express my creativity. During the spring of 2023, I took part in a magazine called Inner Child Project, which invited students to showcase the ways they carry on youthful energy in their collegiate lifestyles. My project focused on “Outdoor Adventurism” for which I wrote a piece that was accompanied by photography.

Outside of my studies I look for ways to exceed language barriers that are strikingly present in Oregon. During the Spring of 2024, I studied Spanish language and culture in Segovia, Spain in an immersion program through the University of Oregon. While living here, I worked for a local artist as an assistant and translator to facilitate art classes at his workshop. During this same time period I also led English classes for two local children.

My well rounded nature is a product of my own diverse passions and an everlasting desire to gain new skills and experiences.
